Left it to the last minute? Our office is open Monday – Friday, from 10am to 6pm. So if it is out of office hours and you would like to book for the same evening, or on the weekend, then you can call the venue directly. Dial 0113 245 7011 to speak to a manager, who will be able to check availability and assist you.
Booking Policy
A limited number of pool tables are available for pre-bookings.
Party bookings can be made as far in advance as you want and are charged at a premium of double the normal pool rate (£18 instead of £9 per hour). This is the only way you can guarantee to get a table when you want it and stay on it for as long as you want. Your booking will be subject to a minimum of ten people per pool table – if you turn up with less it will be at the managers’ discretion how long you can stay on the tables.
Standby bookings can be made from 7 days in advance if any of the tables allocated for pre-booking are still available. They are also charged at the premium rate and are for a maximum of two hours, but they are not subject to minimum numbers.
The private room, along with a private bar can be hired out every night of the week. The room includes the pool cost. Maximum capacity is 30 in the room and 150 in the bar.
The Space
The Elbow Room in Leeds is a 600 capacity venue ideally suited to hosting private parties. We will put all we’ve got into meeting your individual needs and making sure your event is a success. We can cater for small bookings or a full-on party for 600, whether it’s a corporate event, an office party, a birthday party or an informal no-reason knees up. If you are coming with a large group of people and you want to stay on a pool table for longer than an hour you will need to pre-book.
We have 13 pool tables spread over two floors. Depending on what sort of party you want, you can choose from hiring the whole venue, just the top floor, a private room with plasma screen and beer fridge, a semi-private alcove table, a reserved bar, one or two pool tables or even the ping pong table. If you want to end up on the dancefloor then why not book on a Friday or Saturday night, when our DJ’s can be guaranteed to rock the party downstairs. On Saturdays we host the legendary Sugarbeat club nights promoted by the Utah Saints.
Competition
It is entirely possible to play a friendly game of pool with no competitive edge whatsoever. And you’ll have fun. But not nearly as much fun as you’ll have if you’re determined to win at all costs and get down to the thrill of a black ball showdown against your best mate, or your boss, or your boyfriend. There are all sorts of competition formats and we can advise on the most suitable for your needs. If you don’t want to have to worry about the organization on the night then for an additional £50 we can provide you with a party host to host the event, act as arbiter in the event of any acrimonious rules disputes, show you a few tricks and dish out a tip or two. We can also provide trophies and pool related prizes like cues.
Food
If you’re eating as well as drinking it is best to pre-order our party menu. Our party menus are based on the two-bite principle – substantial, tasty selections that are easy to eat while you’re on your feet.
